Alan Virgo has been at every Tanners, and when at the age of 21 he helped to organise the first event he never dreamt that he would still be involved with it into his retirement years, and with grandchildren helping as well! In the early years he was Chief Marshal, then did various jobs until becoming Entries Secretary/Administrator in 1987.

Alyson Robinson , Alan and Anna's daughter, did not have to follow them in their support of the Tanners. However, not only has she done so very actively over the years, both her children can be seen participating and assisting. In 2007 her daughter completed the 10 mile with Wolf Cubs from 1st Blackwater Valley B-P Scout Group.
